Qualifications

• Ability to walk and climb stairs for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Watch for irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders as required.
• Remains alert for unauthorized persons and breaches; notify police as appropriate; may detain violators until police arrive.
• Patrols assigned area on foot or in motor vehicle to ensure security of personnel, building, and equipment.
• Examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure security; uses client keys to open/close buildings; monitors for unauthorized activity.
• Prepares routine, standardized reports.
• Provides escorts as necessary.
• Informs and warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
