Job summary

Safe Harbor Marinas, LLC is seeking a Guard to patrol facilities, control access, and report suspicious activity. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and coordination with local authorities. The Guard must maintain a professional appearance and be able to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous security experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Any skills considered standard that a Guard should possess.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain security of premises by conducting inside and outside patrols of the secure facility.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, uniform and manner at all times.
  • Coordinate with police, fire and emergency medical personnel when necessary.
  • Provide customer service by making sure doors, structures, and vehicles are secure.
  • Make sure any trespasses or crimes are reported to the local police authorities.
  • Complete daily activity log.
  • Monitor areas for safety hazards including theft and vandalism.
  • Availability to work overtime when required.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

The Guard is responsible for patrolling the facility and acting as access control for visitors. Guard will observe and report any suspicious activity.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintain security of premises by conducting inside and outside patrols of the secure facility

  • Maintain a professional appearance, uniform and manner at all times

  • Coordinate with police, fire and emergency medical personnel when necessary

  • Provide customer service by making sure doors, structures, and vehicles are secure

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities


  • Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training

  • Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.

  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.


Technical and Physical Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Previous security experience preferred

  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift

  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property
