Job summary

Akira Technologies is seeking a SOC Cyber Analyst to join our Guam-based team. The role focuses on analyzing devices and OT/ICS environments, performing forensic analysis on Windows/Linux endpoints, and supporting a Security Operations Center under Navy facilities command.

An active Top Secret or higher clearance is required. On-site work in Guam with potential expansion to other NAVFAC locations; prior DoD policy experience and MITRE ATT&CK familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance or higher.
• At least 3 years of experience in security operations.
• Proficient in analyzing cyber-attacks and understanding DoD policies and procedures.
• Familiar with network topologies, protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, SSH), and common security tools.

Responsibilities

• Support SOC team in Security Operations Center activities, including monitoring, incident response, malware analysis, and threat hunting.
• Develop analytics on SIEM platforms to monitor security alerts and coordinate vulnerability assessments.
• Assess STIGs compliance and verify inventory mappings.
• Handle IVAM notifications and respond to network device configurations for security risk reduction.
• Analyze network traffic and logs to identify malicious activity and strengthen SOC processes.
• Produce technical reports synthesizing findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
