Job summary

WSP Guam is seeking a Civil/Roadway Engineer to join the Tamuning office and contribute to roadway, transit, and pedestrian projects. You will work with Guam Transportation Team to deliver design analyses, plans, and specifications that meet client objectives while applying sound engineering principles.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, budget and schedule discipline, and opportunities to mentor entry-level engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 3–5 years of post-education civil design experience.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Experience with roadway/design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads, Civil 3D).
• Knowledge of design for Guam and Federal highway standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway, intersection, and pedestrian design tasks for Guam DPW and other agencies.
• Prepare plans, specs, reports, and cost estimates; coordinate with sub consultants.
• Ensure production meets scope, schedule, cost and quality.
• Attend client meetings and support presentations.
• Assist in project management including budgets and scheduling.
• Collaborate with engineers and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Support business development efforts.
• Conduct site assessments and ensure compliance with rules.
• Incorporate advanced modeling techniques and design standards.
• Work solo or in cross-functional teams and ensure regulatory and permitting compliance.
• Maintain QA/QC standards.
