Standex International is a global industrial growth company seeking a Welder to perform GTAW welding on metal components and assemblies. You will read blueprints, select welding parameters, and ensure weld quality while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a structured 7:00am-3:30pm shift.

Responsibilities include setting up parts, inspecting welds, maintaining equipment, and contributing to SQDC goals. A high school diploma and at least 3 years of related welding experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years related welding experience or training.
• Certified to groove weld and fillet weld on stainless steel and certain alloys per AWS D17.1.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances (GD&T).
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Read work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform GTAW operations on various alloys.
• Visually inspect welds and pass practical exam.
• Measure parts with micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Set up and clamp workpieces; use fixtures.
• Maintain welding equipment; perform daily/weekly maintenance.
• Complete PCS and support engineering with PCS processes.
• Document production and quality logs; support SQDC initiatives.
• Train others and participate in audits and meetings.
