Sandia National Laboratories seeks skilled machinists for precision fabrication of complex components and custom testing hardware. You will program CNC tools, estimate fabrication times, and collaborate with customers on manufacturability and process strategies.
A strong background in multi-axis machining, CAD/CAM tools, and GD&T is expected. The role requires clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.

Internal Applicants: Minimum 4 Classes with a B or greater (80%) grade in English or higher, Math/Algebra or higher, Communications or higher, Intro to Computers or higher.
External Applicants: Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree Program as provided by Central New Mexico community College or equivalent with an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. Degrees could be in the following concentration: Metals Technology with a concentration in Machine Tool Technology, Electronics Technology or Electronic Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Technology with any concentration or equivalent work experience (minimum 4 years).
If offered the position, you may be required to demonstrate your fitness to perform certain physical aspects of the role, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
This is a temporary position. Limited Term Employees (LTE) are hired for up to three (3) years to fill the Laboratories’ temporary staffing needs.
