Job summary

State of Montana in the Office of Public Instruction seeks a program specialist to design, implement, and evaluate school programs for gifted, talented, and students with disabilities. The role collaborates with GT Education Programs, provides technical assistance, and manages MTSS grants and professional development online and in person.

The position supports districts, schools, and families, using data-driven approaches to improve outcomes for Montana students with disabilities and diverse

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Three years’ experience in education, professional development research, design and practice, curriculum development or related experience.
• Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate school programs for special populations.
• Provide technical assistance to schools, students, and families.
• Act as Grant Specialist for GT grant and MTSS program support.
• Coordinate professional development opportunities and training events.
