The Learning Experience in Clarkston, MI is hiring a GSRP Preschool Lead Teacher for a state-funded program serving 4-year-old children. This full-time, school-year position emphasizes building strong relationships with families and preparing children for kindergarten.

Qualified candidates may meet one of several Michigan-approved GSRP pathways; a bachelor's in Early Childhood Education is not strictly required if an approved alternative is met.

Qualifications

• Candidates must meet at least one Michigan-approved GSRP Lead Teacher qualification pathway.
• A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is not required if another approved GSRP pathway is met.
• Qualifications include one of: teaching certificate, ECE degree, or alternate MiLEAP pathway.

Responsibilities

• Lead a GSRP preschool classroom serving 4-year-old children
• Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with Michigan GSRP standards
• Support early literacy, math, language, and social-emotional development
• Create a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom
• Complete child assessments, observations, and required GSRP documentation
• Communicate with families and conduct parent conferences
• Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and center leadership
• Maintain Michigan childcare licensing and GSRP program compliance
