Job summary

A leading aviation contractor in Alaska is looking for a Maintenance Technician responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on diesel and gasoline-powered ground support equipment. Candidates should have 1–3 years of related experience or strong mechanical aptitude. This role offers growth opportunities, including leading maintenance projects and mentoring junior technicians. Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of mechanical, automotive, or heavy equipment maintenance experience or strong mechanical aptitude with training.
  • Experience with diesel engines and diesel-powered equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
  • CDL preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment non-DOT drug test and FAA background check.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on all GSE, including de-ice trucks.
  • Troubleshoot engines, hydraulics, electrical, and automotive systems.
  • Assist with repairs, engine/component removal, and minor overhauls.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment records.
  • Mentor Level I Technicians and provide guidance on fleet operations.
  • Collaborate with operations to prioritize maintenance and minimize equipment downtime.
