Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. in Omaha, NE is seeking a GSE Mechanic Level II to repair and maintain ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks, and trucks.

This role requires 3+ years of verified experience, proficient in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, and the ability to work various shifts including nights and weekends.

Candidates must provide own tools, pass background check and drug screen, and be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 3 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide own tools and toolbox.
• Regular, predictable attendance at job location.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Excellent English communication (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to access information on electronic devices (IPads/Tablets, Computers, Mobile).
• Able to communicate with colleagues and clients in person and electronically.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligible to obtain required credentials/clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs as applicable).
• Airlines operate 24/7; ability to work nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers and describe work for each piece.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, replace, repair, or modify engines and transmissions.
• Inspect electrical systems, brakes, hydraulics, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Work on bumpers, body work, towing hitches, undercarriages, wheels and tires.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues per manufacturer guidelines.
• Test components and use test equipment to diagnose problems.
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment.
• Complete paperwork and track parts.
• Follow safety procedures and PrimeFlight safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
