Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services in Florence, KY is seeking a GSE Mechanic Level I to repair and maintain ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks and more. You will perform advanced maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The role requires 1-2 years of verified experience, own tools, English communication, and flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• 1-2 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox.
• Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including devices like IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
• Airlines are 24/7, so shifts including nights, weekends and holidays must be available.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair ground service equipment (tug, belt loader, pushback, trucks, etc.).
• Log repair work and equipment numbers.
• Inspect, maintain and repair engines, brakes, undercarriages, and hydraulics.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues per manuals and safety standards.
• Complete paperwork and track parts.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PrimeFlight standards.
