Job summary

Amentum in the United States seeks a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to diagnose and repair GSE, using drawings, diagrams, and technical publications. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspect equipment, and ensure serviceability to support aircraft operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, CDL with Hazmat, and at least two years’ experience with diesel generators and gasoline engines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• CDL with HAZMAT endorsement required.
• 2+ years’ experience on diesel generators and vehicles.
• 2+ years’ experience on gasoline engines and vehicles.
• Proficient in Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Able to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair less complex GSE problems using drawings, wiring diagrams and publications.
• Use automated maintenance data systems to monitor trends and document actions.
• Maintain external fuel and grounding systems and service GSE components.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; test and inspect GSE for serviceability.
• Disassemble/assemble GSE components, clean, corrosion-proof, and reinstall parts.
• Uphold hazmat handling, tool control, and safety; travel to CBP locations as needed.
