Job summary

Trego-Dugan Aviation Inc. is seeking a Full Time Laborer/Ramp role in Charlotte, NC to lead daily maintenance and repair of ground support equipment on a shift basis.

You will oversee technicians Levels I–II, ensure equipment readiness, and maintain accurate maintenance records in a safety‑driven environment. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and guiding ramp staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated mechanical experience in automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or a comparable technical field.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on ground support equipment or similar machinery.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays; on-call and emergency call-in.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% for multi-station support and training.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Personally perform and oversee preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on GSE equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and systems issues using test equipment and manuals; focus on reliability.
• Maintain maintenance records and paperwork in compliance with regulations.
• Supervise and coach GSE technicians (Levels I–II) on shift.
• Provide training and guidance to ramp agents and operations staff as needed.
