Job summary

Everts Air is seeking a diligent ground service equipment technician in Fairbanks, AK. You will assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of GSE, using hand and power tools to disconnect or connect systems and perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities include assembling, disassembling machinery, cleaning and lubricating equipment, and maintaining Fleet Maintenance Pro records. This role requires endurance in diverse weather and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to understand and retain information provided verbally and written.
• Manual dexterity to assemble and disassemble intricate assemblies.
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation, maintenance, and repair of ground service equipment.
• Adjust and connect or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts with hand or power tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble machinery, equipment, components, and parts.
• Clean or lubricate machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, power tools and cleaning equipment.
• Help mechanics maintain and repair vehicles, industrial machinery, and electrical equipment.
• Install or replace machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments using hand tools.
• Position vehicles, machinery, equipment, physical structures and other objects for assembly or installation.
• Transfer equipment, tools, parts and other objects to and from workstations and other areas.
• Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping or other defects.
• Maintain paperwork on jobs completed to enter into Fleet Maintenance Pro software.
