Job summary

TCR Group, based in Newark, NJ, is seeking a skilled Service Technician/Mechanic – GSE/Diesel to keep our equipment and vehicles ready for operation. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and engine systems as part of a supportive workshop team.

Based at our Newark facility, you will use company diagnostic tools and your own hand tools, adhere to safety and quality standards, and help ensure peak availability for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Must provide personal hand tools; company supplies diagnostic equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in using mobile devices and relevant applications.
• Solid understanding of safety, quality, and operational protocols.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot by diagnosing, adjusting, and repairing equipment and vehicles including electrical, brake, hydraulic, cooling, power steering systems, engines and related components.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and inspections per manufacturer and customer requirements.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations with rigorous quality control.
• Promote health and safety by following regulations, using safety equipment, reporting incidents, and supporting safety initiatives.
