Job summary

TCR Group in Chicago, IL is seeking a skilled Service Technician/Mechanic - GSE/Diesel to keep our equipment and fleet ready for operation. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and engine systems, following manufacturer and customer requirements.

You’ll work independently within a supportive team, provide tools, use diagnostic devices, and follow safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Must provide personal hand tools; TCR supplies specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems; proficient with mobile devices and apps.
• Growth mindset, teamwork, eagerness to learn, strong work ethic and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting: diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment and vehicles, including electrical, brake, hydraulic, cooling, power steering systems, engines, and other components.
• Maintenance and Repairs: perform preventative and corrective maintenance following manufacturer and customer requirements.
• Compliance & Quality: adhere to industry standards and regulations, maintaining quality control and product integrity.
• Health & Safety: act responsibly to prevent injuries, follow safety regulations, use safety equipment, report incidents, and promote safety initiatives.
