Job summary

Unifi Maintenance at JFK is seeking GSE and Fleet Maintenance Technicians to advance our technical teams. We welcome all skill levels, from entrants to seasoned technicians, to contribute to fleet reliability and readiness.

The role offers wage range based on skills and certifications, with benefits and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems, inspections for safety and DOT compliance, and mentoring junior mechanics.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience and knowledge of servicing vehicles.
• Ability to work independently with supervision as required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Preferred: Four to six years of fleet maintenance experience and ASE certifications (higher pay).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, diesel, gasoline, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and computerized vehicle systems.
• Perform engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, and drivetrain repairs.
• Utilize diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Conduct detailed inspections to ensure safety standards and DOT compliance.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Mechanic I and Mechanic II employees.
• Assist with repair planning, parts procurement, and inventory control.
• Verify the quality of completed repairs and maintenance activities.
• Support emergency roadside and operational repairs as required.
• Recommend process improvements to increase fleet reliability and efficiency.
• Perform all other duties within technical capabilities and experience.

Pay Range: $26 - $44Hr based on skills, experience, and certifications.

Job Summary:

A Unifi Technician is an opportunity to advanced your technical career. From someone just starting in the maintenance to those with years of experience independently performing diagnostics, major repairs, and complex troubleshooting on fleet vehicles and employee shuttle buses. This position serves all technical levels to assists with maintaining fleet reliability and operational readiness.

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications for higher pay range

• Four to six years of fleet maintenance experience.


• Multiple ASE certifications.


• CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement.


• Experience with fleet maintenance following DOT standards.


• Refrigeration, HVAC, or advanced electrical certifications.
