The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints seeks to build diverse teams to support its global mission. The Process Automation Solutions Team designs and runs automated systems that post and reconcile accurate information to the church’s general ledger, aiding reporting and decision making across the world.

This is a full-time role based in Riverton, UT, with a hybrid arrangement that requires weekly in-office presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance or Business Management.
• 5 to 8 years of accounting experience with data analysis essential.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, Power BI, SQL, and data formatting tools.
• Experience automating processes with Power Automate and learning new software.

Responsabilités

• Analyze accounting data sources from banks, card processors, and Church systems and develop automated posting and reconciliation processes.
• Create operational reports or dashboards to monitor posting and reconciliation issues.
• Resolve questions from automated processes and prepare budgets and financial statements from multiple sources.
• Anticipate future needs and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Job Description

The Global Services Department’s purpose is to help others come unto Christ by serving members, leaders, and employees globally in a simple and efficient way. The Process Automation Solutions Team is responsible for creating and operating automated systems that post and reconcile accurate and timely information to the Church’s general ledger to be used for reporting and decision making for the world-wide Church.

This is a full-time (40-hour/week) position. Under current hybrid working arrangements, the person in this position will be required to work in our Riverton, UT office a minimum of once a week (as designated by division) or more depending on business needs; therefore must live close. Hybrid working arrangements requires ongoing approval.

Responsibilities

• Analyze accounting data sources from banks, credit card processors, and Church systems throughout the world and then develop, improve, maintain, document, and operate automated processes that post transactions to the Church general ledger and reconcile those transactions to ensure accuracy and integrity of the postings.
• Create operational reports or dashboards that monitor issues regarding the posting and reconciliation of these transactions.
• Resolve questions and issues that arise from operating these automated processes.Prepare and analyze budgets and financial statements using information from operating statements, account ledgers, work order reports, project tracking systems, etc. for a large, complex unit or division of a department.
• Anticipate future needs.

Qualifications

• Education and Certifications: A bachelor’s degree in accounting (or Finance or Business Management). CPA, CMA, or MBA and an emphasis in data analysis is preferred.
• Experience: 5 to 8 years of accounting (business management, or equivalent). Experience in data analysis is essential.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency with:
  • Excel and other Microsoft Office software.
  • SQL and data formatting tools, such as Power BI
  • AI in solving daily business issues and coding problems.
  • Automating business processes through Microsoft Power Automate
  • Must be able to learn new software.
  • Continual self-directed learning is essential.
  • A passion for continual process improvement and problem solving is essential.
