Job summary

Jobtailor in New York is seeking a senior user researcher to guide the growth product teams. You will own the research roadmap, ensure insights inform strategic decisions, and drive product strategy across monetization, subscriptions, and revenue experiments.

You will partner with product managers, designers, data scientists, and marketing to uncover questions, design mixed-method studies, and translate findings into clear narratives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of user research experience, including 2–3 years in a consumer-facing product role.
• Experience researching monetization, subscriptions, or new revenue streams.
• Experience using mixed methods with strong quantitative skills and sentiment measurement in experiments.
• Proficient in data manipulation, analysis, and dashboards with R, SPSS, or Looker.
• Strong storyteller who communicates data clearly and persuasively.
• Proactive at building trusting cross-functional partnerships (data science, product, design, engineering, marketing).
• Eager to mentor other researchers and champion team culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead research strategy and roadmaps for Growth product teams to inform product decisions and strategy.
• Develop and execute end-to-end research across strategic to iterative studies.
• Conduct research on monetization, subscriptions, or new revenue streams.
• Think through diverse audiences, accessibility, and inclusive product experiences.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key research questions and prioritize projects.
• Deliver high-impact insights to accelerate decision making and momentum towards our mission.
• Model honest, empathetic communication and help teams navigate ambiguity with clarity and care.
