Meta seeks a Research Scientist for the Quantitative Growth Research team to apply rigorous quantitative methods to understand user behavior, product adoption, and growth across its apps. You will design large-scale studies, develop causal inference frameworks, and translate findings into actionable insights that shape product strategy.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field and experience conducting quantitative research
• Experience applying statistical modeling techniques to real-world product or growth questions
• Experience translating research findings into recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience working with large-scale datasets using Python, R, or SQL
• Ability to scope and deliver independent research projects from problem definition through communication

Responsibilities

• Design and execute quantitative research studies to understand user acquisition, retention, and engagement
• Develop and apply causal inference methods to evaluate product changes on growth outcomes
• Build and validate measurement frameworks linking behavior signals to growth metrics
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to shape research agendas
• Communicate quantitative findings through reports, presentations, and visualizations
• Identify high-priority growth questions and scope research deliverables with clear timelines
