OpenAI is seeking a Product Designer to shape how startups, small businesses, and growing teams discover, adopt, and unlock lasting value from ChatGPT. You’ll own growth experiences across the customer journey, turning the potential of AI into meaningful, everyday impact for people across the world.

This is a highly hands‑on role for a designer who pairs exceptional craft with strong product judgment and an experimental mindset.

Qualifications

• Portfolio showing exceptional product thinking, interaction design, and visual craft.
• Led substantial product initiatives from exploration through launch.
• Strong product judgment connecting user needs, business goals, and measurable outcomes.
• Comfort with data and experiments while balancing signals with research and design judgment.
• Fluent in using AI to prototype and communicate.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end design for growth experiences across ChatGPT.
• Design and improve experiences across lifecycle stages: discovery, onboarding, activation, engagement, collaboration, conversion, retention.
• Turn ambiguous opportunities into clear hypotheses, prototypes, and polished experiences.
• Set a high bar for interaction design, visual craft, systems thinking, content, and end-to-end coherence.
• Partner with product, engineering, data science, research, and go-to-market teams to shape strategy and execution.
• Use quantitative data, experiments, research, and qualitative insights to identify opportunities and evaluate outcomes.
• Translate complex AI capabilities into approachable experiences for users with varying technical expertise.
• Move between long-term product vision and fast, iterative execution.
• Contribute reusable patterns and insights to strengthen growth experiences across ChatGPT.
