Walker-Inc is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in Needham, MA. This role focuses on accurate financial reporting, grant accounting, and process improvements within a growing nonprofit environment.

You will partner with program leaders, development staff, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and financial stewardship. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Dynamics 365 BC and related financial tools.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge and nonprofit accounting principles.
• Experience with revenue recognition and grant accounting.
• Ability to develop budgets and forecasts.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable, invoicing, and general ledger entries.
• Support monthly close processes and prepare journal entries.
• Oversee accounts receivable and grant-related revenue activities.
• Assist with grant budgets, forecasts, and post-award activities.
• Prepare audit docs and aid in annual financial reporting.
