Job summary

Buckeye Power Sales is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain general ledger accounts, process COIs, and support month-end activities. You’ll work with web portals, upload credit card transactions, and collaborate with the Finance team to improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Experience with web portals preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
• 1+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated accuracy in data entry.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong telephone communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently as needed.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, with a commitment to consistent attendance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook); 10-key by touch preferred

Responsibilities

• Reconcile and maintain assigned general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and upload them into Business Central.
• Assist with month-end activities, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
• Provide backup support to other Finance team members as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Certificate of Insurance (COI) requirements.
• Respond to and support customer requests for COIs.
• Manage web portal email communications; support and maintain customer and vendor portals.
• Maintain compliance with vendor form requirements.
• Provide support for bid documentation and bonding requirements.
• Recommend and develop strategies to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
• Identify issues and recommend appropriate alternative solutions.
