Job summary

Forward Together in Oakland, CA seeks a Deputy Director of Operations and Growth to lead critical growth and operational functions for a growing nonprofit. This senior role focuses on scaling infrastructure, finance, HR, and technology while guiding strategy in a high-impact environment.

The role is full-time, exempt, based in Oakland, with a salary range of $120,000–$135,000 and generous benefits. Applications close November 2, 2018; travel is required periodically.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of combined executive/senior level experience in nonprofit operations, growth, and risk management.
• Experience in nonprofit finance, operations, HR, and compliance.
• Ability to forecast, plan, and manage organizational growth; oversee infrastructure and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead organizational growth planning and capacity building across multiple offices and regions.
• Oversee financial and operational performance, budgeting, compliance, and vendor management.
• Develop and implement HR policies, recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
• Provide senior leadership input and governance support as a member of the executive team.
