Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management in Florida’s Bradenton area is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support facility operations. You will assist in maintenance and repair of equipment, perform routine inspections, and help ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment for staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Experience with facilities maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Leadership skills to supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
• Use computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders and document repairs.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Fabricate and weld components as needed.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems.
• Supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects.
