Baily International Foods, a trusted manufacturer of authentic Asian food products, seeks an experienced Assistant Controller to own day-to-day accounting activities and partner with the Controller and operations leadership. The role offers growth within a expanding finance function.

The ideal candidate brings strong full-cycle accounting, GAAP proficiency, and readiness to assume broader responsibilities in a growing organization. CPA is a plus, payroll experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive experience in accounting/finance, ideally manufacturing, food production, CPG, distribution, or related environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting.
• Hands-on month-end close, financial reporting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience with inventory and/or cost accounting strongly preferred.
• CPA is a plus, payroll experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting across the general ledger, AP, AR, and financial reporting.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis.
• Partner with operations to provide financial insight and improve performance.
• Support inventory accounting, costing, physical inventory, and cycle-counting.
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies as the organization grows.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit process.
• Provide mentorship to AP and AR teams and opportunities for process improvements.
