Job summary

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is seeking an Assistant Buyer for General Merchandise to support the Retail Department with clerical and merchandising duties. This role focuses on daily reporting, vendor coordination, item creation, and in-store merchandising tasks.

Ideal candidates have retail experience, strong data entry skills, and proficiency with Word/Excel, with flexibility for varied shifts and excellent guest-facing communication.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license as required by law or policy.
• 5 years retail experience.
• Data entry and 10 key proficiencies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Runs daily sales reports and analyzes business for reorder opportunities.
• Work closely with vendors for input and new item creation.
• Assist in merchandising new items and floor moves.
• Work with store operations to recap in store product events.
• Walk stores to ensure resort/division standards.
• Safety is an essential function of this job.
• Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
