ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a strategic and highly analytical Growth Marketing Manager to own key programs across the self-serve journey and accelerate revenue growth. You’ll join our expanding Self-Serve & Growth Marketing team. This is an individual contributor role responsible for leading strategic programs in close partnership with Product, Revenue, and Success, with no direct people management responsibilities.
You’ll work across various phases of the self-serve journey—whether that’s acquiring new users, guiding them to value during trials, or driving expansion among existing customers. Your exact focus may shift over time depending on evolving team priorities, but your goal will always be to help users succeed and accelerate self-serve revenue.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
At Katalon, we think about our self-serve growth engine in core phases: customer acquisition, trial activation & conversion, and customer engagement & expansion. As a Growth Marketing Manager, you’ll lead high-impact programs across the self-serve journey—planning and executing initiatives that drive acquisition, conversion, and expansion.
Depending on where you’re assigned, you may contribute to one or more of the following:
- Design and execute acquisition strategies across paid, organic, and partner-led channels to grow the top of the self-serve funnel.
- Manage and optimize multi-channel campaigns (e.g., paid search, paid social, SEO, content syndication) to attract high-intent users and test messaging and creative approaches.
- Improve campaign efficiency by tracking CAC, lead quality, and channel performance—applying data to guide spend allocation and testing priorities.
- Lead the experimentation roadmap for key web pages and landing page optimization with Web, Product Marketing, and Brand teams to ensure a seamless and localized user experience from ad click to sign-up.
- Run experiments across ad formats, landing pages, and targeting strategies to drive continual performance gains.
2. Trial Activation & Conversion Optimization
- Shape onboarding journeys by mapping user behaviors and milestones, identifying friction points, and building flows that accelerate users to value.
- Develop lifecycle marketing programs across email, in-app messaging, and notifications to nurture free trial users toward paid conversion.
- Collaborate with Product and Revenue teams on testing pricing, packaging, and trial configurations to improve conversion efficiency.
- Define and lead experimentation strategy around UX, messaging, and feature exposure—using funnel and cohort data to drive insights and action.
- Deploy usage-based triggers and behavioral cues to deliver timely nudges, tips, and upgrade prompts during the trial phase.
- Drive expansion-focused monetization campaigns to increase plan upgrades, encourage annual commitments, and deepen product adoption—particularly for accounts below the Sales/CS engagement threshold.
- Develop lifecycle programs that support ongoing product adoption, feature discovery, and opportunities for upsell and cross-sell.
- Collaborate with the Digital Success team to support scalable retention efforts—contributing marketing-driven touchpoints that reinforce value, reduce friction, and keep users engaged throughout their journey.
- Drive cross-functional re-engagement and win-back strategies for users at risk of churn—aligning on signals, messaging, and timing to deliver coordinated outreach.
- Test personalized upgrade prompts, contextual nudges, and account-based offers aimed at increasing ARPU and customer lifetime value.
- Work closely with Product, Digital Success, and Data teams to analyze user behavior, measure program impact, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in expansion and engagement.
Requirements
- Experience working in a product-led growth (PLG) motion in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) business.
- 5-7+ years of experience in growth marketing, web marketing, digital marketing, or lifecycle marketing.
- You operate independently, identify growth opportunities, and lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.
- A proven track record of driving marketing initiatives that improve the user experience and generate revenue.
- Strong ability to synthesize user behavior data to inform strategy and drive alignment across GTM teams.
- Hands-on experience in at least one area of the self-serve funnel (acquisition, conversion, or expansion), with a willingness to grow across the full journey.
- Proficiency with marketing and analytics tools (e.g., HubSpot, Clarity, A/B testing platforms).
- Strong analytical thinking paired with creativity and a passion for experimentation.
- Excellent collaboration and English communication skills for working cross-functionally across the marketing, product, and revenue teams.
- International work experience with the ability to work across global time zones.
