An innovative company is seeking a Growth Marketing Manager to drive demand for sustainable wood solutions. This role involves leading multi-channel marketing efforts, optimizing marketing technology, and creating targeted campaigns for B2B prospects. You'll collaborate closely with sales and product teams to boost conversion rates and enhance brand visibility. If you're passionate about sustainability and have a builder mentality, this position offers the chance to make a significant impact in a fast-growing startup environment. Join a mission-driven team committed to creating a circular economy.
Cambium, a circular economy innovator, tackles key environmental challenges in supply chains. Utilizing our Traece technology, we salvage fallen lumber and transform it into Carbon Smart Wood, a carbon-negative building material.
Cambium is a growth stage start-up using technology to make it easy to access material we normally waste, turning salvaged lumber into Carbon Smart Wood. We recently closed a $18.5M Series A funding round to make it easier to buy, sell, and move fiber across the supply chain. In addition to being named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2024, We serve clients like Amazon, Equinox, Room & Board, and other leading brands in the construction, design, and furniture industries. It’s an exciting time of growth for Cambium, and we’re looking for ambitious, thoughtful people to join our mission.
Cambium is at an inflection point. We're scaling two high-impact business units—Carbon Smart Wood and Mill Market—each with unique customers, revenue models, and growth challenges. We’re hiring a Growth Marketing Manager to help drive demand, grow revenue, and build scalable marketing programs that elevate Cambium’s brand across the sustainability and materials space.
You'll report to the VP of Marketing and work closely with Sales, Product, and our external partners to lead campaign strategy and execution across both sides of the business.
You'll partner with the VP of Marketing to drive demand and growth for Cambium's sustainable wood solutions. The scope of this role includes:
Own and scale go-to-market channels: Lead multi-channel demand generation across our portfolio (Mill Market, Carbon Smart Wood, and Mass Timber). Manage end-to-end execution—from campaign planning to iteration—across paid media, social, email, SEO, partnerships, and events, focusing on delivering qualified pipeline and measurable ROI.
Operationalize and scale with marketing tech: Maximize the impact of our marketing tech stack. You know how to get the most out of HubSpot, automation tools, and analytics platforms—and you’re excited about building scalable systems that drive efficiency and insight.
Test, learn, repeat: Run structured experiments across messaging, channels, and audiences—and use what you learn to drive smarter, faster growth.
Design ABM programs: Build and execute targeted ABM campaigns for high-value B2B prospects in architecture, construction, and sustainability-forward organizations. Tailor outreach and creative to drive engagement across key decision-makers.
Partner with sales: Create enablement tools and lead processes that boost conversion and shorten deal cycles.
You bring 5–7 years of experience in marketing roles across B2B industries—ideally in sustainability, supply chain, construction tech, or climate tech. You’ve thrived in startup or high-growth environments, know how to build from scratch, and aren’t afraid of ambiguity. You have a strong track record of launching campaigns that drive measurable results—from pipeline generation to lead conversion to revenue impact.
You’re fluent in modern marketing and operations tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, ClickUp, Notion, Figma, Canva, and Retool.
Bias to action: You operate with urgency and take ownership from day one. You move quickly, prioritize progress over perfection, and figure things out independently. You don’t wait to be told what to do—you find what needs doing and do it.
Analytical and results-focused: You care about what actually drives growth. You're fluent in the language of performance—whether that’s building dashboards, tracking conversion, or refining lead scoring. You focus on measurable impact and make decisions grounded in data, not gut feelings.
Builder mentality: You thrive in ambiguity and know how to scale from zero to one—and beyond. You’ve launched demand gen campaigns, implemented nurture sequences, and helped build go-to-market systems from scratch. You don’t need a big team to make big things happen.
Storyteller: You can translate complex sustainability and supply chain topics into sharp, compelling narratives. You’ve owned content calendars, crafted persona-driven messaging, and delivered content across web, email, social, and events that converts.
Mission-driven: You care deeply about building a more sustainable, circular economy. Whether or not you’ve worked in climate tech before, you bring a builder’s mindset and a desire to make a meaningful impact through your work.
