Featured Internships, Internship Marketing & Communications
Part-time · 15-20 hours per week · Remote or Hybrid NYC
Role Overview
Help more students discover educational opportunities with Snowday. We're hiring a hands-on Growth Marketing Lead to manage a small team of high school interns and turn growth ideas into campaigns, content, and measurable user acquisition.
You'll work directly with the founders to set priorities across social, search, influencer, and community channels. You'll own execution and reporting, with contributions that may be shared with investors. This role combines growth strategy, people management, and day-to-day startup problem-solving.
Snowday is a lean, hardworking team. You'll need to spot opportunities, communicate quickly, and follow through. Together with the founders, you'll focus the team's time on the projects with the greatest potential within a 20-hour week.
What You'll Own
- Intern leadership: Manage and mentor high school interns, serving as their main point of contact on Wednesdays. Set clear briefs, assign work, track progress, give constructive feedback, and hold the team accountable for quality and deadlines.
- Social and community content: Create and oversee content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and relevant online communities. Own the publishing calendar and scheduling of social and promotional content.
- Paid campaigns: Plan, create, launch, and monitor ads and boosted posts across selected platforms; use performance data to improve creative, targeting, and spend.
- SEO and AEO: Identify opportunities through site audits, keyword research, search trends, and content gap analysis. Expand search-optimized lists and community or organization pages, and track visibility in search and AI-generated answers.
- Influencers and partners: Support outreach, negotiation, campaign coordination, and ongoing relationship management.
- Analytics and collaboration: Maintain a weekly Social Media Progress Report and SEO/AEO reporting. Turn results into recommendations, and work with product, data, and growth teammates to improve user acquisition.
What You'll Bring
- Experience leading people or projects, formally or informally, with the ability to delegate, coach, and keep a small team moving. Club leadership, project management, and other relevant experience count.
- Strong communication and organization: you can run productive meetings, give clear feedback, manage competing priorities, and follow through on commitments.
- Initiative and sound judgment: you're comfortable working independently, finding opportunities, and taking ownership when the path isn't fully defined.
- Familiarity with major social platforms, especially Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, and a feel for content that connects with its audience.
- Curiosity about growth marketing, startups, education, and creator communities, with an interest in marketing, communications, business, media, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Comfort with digital and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, or Canva AI, plus a willingness to learn unfamiliar tools, including GitHub, quickly.
- An analytical mindset and interest in understanding how Snowday's product, data, and other teams contribute to growth beyond your immediate responsibilities.
Bonus experience: SEO or answer engine optimization (AEO), influencer marketing, content creation, paid social, or marketing analytics platforms.
