Job summary

Deloitte seeks a Senior Consultant in US Corporate Development to drive growth strategy and support strategic investments across the acquisition lifecycle. You will evaluate markets, develop business cases, and present recommendations to senior leadership.

The role requires strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. Some travel and flexible work arrangements are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 4+ years in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, management consulting, or private equity.
• 2+ years of market research, target screening, and business case development.
• 2+ years building financial models in Excel and developing executive-level presentations.
• Ability to travel 0–10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop growth strategies and apply market assessment frameworks to evaluate priority areas and shape acquisition priorities.
• Frame ambiguous strategic questions with hypothesis-driven problem solving and drive to clear recommendations.
• Build fluency in new markets/ technologies and translate findings into business value and investment implications.
• Conduct market research to inform target identification, pipeline development, and investment prioritization.
• Sourcing and screening potential targets aligned to Deloitte's growth priorities.
• Create executive-level presentations with PowerPoint and storyboards to communicate findings.
• Develop strategic rationale, investment theses, business cases, financial models, and executive recommendations for acquisitions.
• Manage due diligence across financial, operational, commercial, tech, and HR stakeholders.
• Plan post-close integration activities, including roadmaps, synergy tracking, and governance.
• Stay curious across the full M&A and strategy scope; adapt in a fast-changing environment.
• Work in an agile environment adapting to evolving priorities.
