Job summary

Finatal is partnering with a private equity sponsor to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for a new buy-and-build construction & engineering services platform. The CFO will lead the finance function, drive planning and controls, and own the M&A execution, aiming to build a scalable, PE-ready financial foundation across rapid growth and site acquisitions.

Qualifications

Experience as CFO in a private equity-backed business.
Construction/engineering services industry experience preferred or similar project-based environment.
Proven track record of building and scaling finance functions in PE-driven growth and M&A.
Experience supporting growth, integrations, and exit readiness in a PE context.

Responsibilities

Build, scale, and professionalize the finance function to support a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven PE platform.
Lead financial planning, forecasting, and controls within a PE-backed operating environment.
Establish scalable systems, reporting, and processes for rapid growth and acquisition integration.
Own financial execution of M&A including due diligence, modeling, integration, and post-acquisition performance tracking.
Manage working capital, liquidity, and cash flow in a project-based services environment.
Partner with CEO and PE sponsor on value creation, capital allocation, and exit preparation.
Lead ERP selection and implementation as the platform scales.
