Job summary

SLR Consulting (US) is seeking a Principal Scientist/Engineer/Geologist in Bothell, WA to lead the Land Quality & Remediation practice. You will drive growth, manage client relationships, and oversee complex projects with a senior technical focus.

Qualifications

• Typically 10–15 years of experience in environmental consulting, including leadership at or near principal level.
• Strong technical background in site investigation and remediation (soil, groundwater, vapor, sediment).
• Familiarity with Washington regulatory programs (MTCA, VCP, PLIA).
• Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with desire to grow a practice.

Responsibilities

• Grow and expand a portfolio of work by leveraging SLR clients and your own relationships.
• Lead proposals, scopes, and pricing with increasing autonomy.
• Provide high-level oversight of investigations, remediation, and regulatory strategy.
• Mentor and lead a small team, shaping culture and growth.
