Subway is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join the Accounting Department in a role focused on accurate financial reporting and compliance. You will work with senior staff and cross-functional teams to ensure timely closes and clear financial statements.

Your responsibilities include ledger maintenance, month-end closes, reconciliations, AP/AR processing, and assisting with audits. A Bachelor's degree in accounting and 1–3 years of experience are required, with strong Excel and GAAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience in corporate and/or public accounting environments.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, including recording, reviewing, and reconciling transactions.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
• Reconcile assigned monthly balance sheet accounts.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and related schedules.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and account verification.
• .Perform variance analyses and investigate discrepancies.
• Support audit activities, including gathering documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Maintain accounting records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve accounting issues.
