Original Composites and Fiberglass in Amarillo, TX, offers a 12-month developmental assignment to build Forming Process Engineer capabilities through Fabrication and Forming/Hot End rotations, with hands-on responsibility for process improvement and daily management systems.

You will lead cross-functional projects, establish metrics, analyze performance, and drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements while developing sustainment plans and plant standards.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline; recent graduates and candidates with relevant co-op or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
• Technical aptitude, learning agility, analytical ability, and a demonstrated interest in manufacturing process engineering and continuous improvement.
• Ability to organize work, coordinate across functions, analyze data, manage action plans, and communicate clearly with employees at different levels of the organization.
• Working knowledge of common engineering and problem-solving tools; experience with data analysis, process mapping, root cause analysis, project management, or automation is preferred.
• Ability to build effective working relationships, seek input, respond constructively to feedback, and influence progress without direct authority.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment, spend significant time on the production floor, and support off‑shift or weekend needs when required.
• Proficiency with standard business applications used for data analysis, reporting, presentations, and project tracking.

• Translate observations and data into clear problem statements, improvement plans, expected benefits, implementation actions, and sustainment controls.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, process data, standard work, training materials, and decision records.
• Communicate progress, results, barriers, decisions, and support needs to Technical and Plant leadership through effective written reports, presentations, and routine operating reviews.
• Engage employees closest to the work, incorporate their knowledge into solutions, and support adoption of new methods, equipment, and standards.
• Demonstrate ownership, urgency, sound judgment, and follow-through while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
