Job summary

Recruiting from Scratch is seeking a Software Engineer (Growth) to own and evolve our web platform focused on user acquisition, activation, onboarding, experimentation, and conversion. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales to drive features that directly impact revenue.

The role requires 3–7 years of full-time software development experience, with strong React/TypeScript and Node.js skills, and a track record of growth-focused SaaS work.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building customer-facing SaaS products.
• Experience at early-stage startups (Series A or earlier preferred).
• Experience owning features from concept through production.
• Experience building growth-oriented product experiences.
• Experience shipping measurable improvements to user acquisition or conversion funnels.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Growth teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the company's React and TypeScript web application.
• Build high-converting signup flows, onboarding experiences, and product activation journeys.
• Design and develop frontend features using React and TypeScript.
• Build backend APIs and services using Node.js.
• Architect analytics instrumentation across the customer lifecycle.
• Build experimentation frameworks supporting A/B testing and rapid iteration.
• Design dashboards and event tracking using modern analytics platforms.
• Optimize customer acquisition funnels, activation, retention, and conversion metrics.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Growth to launch high-impact features.
• Improve frontend performance, scalability, reliability, and engineering quality.
• Translate business metrics into product improvements through rapid experimentation.
• Continuously iterate on growth initiatives using quantitative data and customer insights.
