Job summary

Dollar General seeks an Assistant Store Manager to uphold a customer-first, well-organized store. You will assist with supervision, merchandising, deposits and overall profitability while safeguarding assets.

Responsibilities include leading staff, scheduling, training, safety, and ensuring planograms and inventory controls are followed to maximize performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling, cashier accountability and deposits.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate checkout.
• Open and close the store portions of the schedule at least two days weekly.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, display and planograms adherence.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; monitor damages, markdowns and paperwork.
