The role involves purchase order creation, cost verification, inventory tracking, and vendor coordination to ensure on-time delivery and competitive pricing. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the purchasing function while collaborating with internal teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year purchasing experience, preferably in plumbing/HVAC.
• Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming/outgoing Purchase Orders and Packing Slips.
• Track and update inventory with accurate records.
• Create purchase orders and monitor status.
• Cost verification for Purchase Orders per project estimates.
• Generate reports on inventory levels and discrepancies.
• Negotiate cost, delivery and terms with vendors.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Attend project meetings to review delivery schedules.
• Monitor Purchasing Clerk for accuracy and timeliness.
• Meet daily with Purchasing Manager to review schedules and PO status.
• Assist Purchasing Manager with various tasks.
