Job summary

SpaceX in Palo Alto is seeking detail-oriented Accountants to join our Finance organization. You will support month-end close, reconciliations, and process improvements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, collaborating closely with tax, FP&A, and auditing teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of accounting experience (CPA preferred), strong Excel and SQL skills, and a commitment to US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA preferred or equivalent.
• Strong Excel and SQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Support inventory, fixed assets, cost accounting, or other specialized areas as assigned.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual divisional balance sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate with accounting staff to foster a supportive work environment.
• Work with Tax, FP&A, Financial Reporting, and other business units to implement solutions for seamless operations.
• Collaborate with auditors to provide timely documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
