Selby Jennings is seeking an Investment Associate to join its growth-focused investment team in Atlanta. The role provides exposure to sourcing, underwriting, execution, portfolio management, and value creation from day one.

You will work directly with senior professionals, gaining broad visibility across the investment lifecycle and opportunities to drive strategic initiatives within high-growth tech L&M sectors.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, venture capital, or related investment field.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate businesses and investment opportunities critically.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate investment opportunities through financial analysis, market research, and diligence.
• Build financial models, valuation analyses, and investment return scenarios.
• Conduct industry research and develop investment theses in growth sectors.
• Support transaction execution, including due diligence, meetings, and committee materials.
• Monitor portfolio performance and assist management with strategic initiatives.
• Develop relationships with founders, executives, advisors, and industry participants.
• Track market trends and identify emerging opportunities.
