Job summary

Rho, the modern banking platform, is hiring a Growth Engineer to own AI-driven search visibility and citations for startup and business banking. You will ship production code and directly implement on-page optimization, structured data, and content pipelines that support our incorporation, payroll, and invoicing offerings.

This is a hands-on role where you own the system end‑to‑end—from data pipelines to runbooks—ensuring fast, reliable SEO/AEO performance.

Qualifications

• Strong generalist engineering background: own system from data pipeline to production changes.
• Deep, current knowledge of technical SEO and AI sources citing.
• Hands-on with SEO toolchain and AI visibility platforms; pull numbers from scoreboards.
• Has built LLM/agentic content pipelines with compliance gates.
• Comfortable with regulated disclosures and verification during shipping.

Responsibilities

• Own AI visibility, citations, and sentiment across tracked topics; turn weekly deltas into fixes.
• Run weekly operating rhythm: competitor intel refresh, AI-citation position checks, and SEO scorecard.
• Ship page changes directly to rho.co: on-page optimization, structured data, internal linking.
• Extend multi-agent content pipeline for new articles and product pages.
• Maintain claims and source-of-truth layer; ensure verified product facts.
• Monitor crawlability, indexing, site performance, and AI crawler access; catch regressions via alerts.
• Build measurement feed linking search visibility to signups and funded accounts by product line.
• Lead push on incorporation: develop clusters, pages, and comparisons.
• Leave systems with monitoring, alerting, and runbooks for autonomous operation.

About the role

We're hiring a Growth Engineer to make Rho the #1 answer for startup and business banking, both in classic search rankings and in the answers AI engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews give. You'll then extend that position into Rho's newer product lines: incorporation, payroll, and invoicing. For your first six months this is 100% of your focus; after that, you'll take the systems and instincts you built here to the next growth problem.

This is a hands‑on building role. You ship production code and page changes yourself, you don't spec them and hand them off. You'll inherit a working agentic SEO/AEO system and make it faster, more reliable, and more autonomous, from the agents that sweep and fix pages around the clock to the runbook that lets it all run without you.

You're accountable for whether Rho wins, not for pages published or dashboards built. AI citation share, rankings on priority keywords, organic signups, and funded accounts from organic are how your work gets judged.

Key responsibilities

• Live in AEO/SEO dashboards: own AI visibility, citations, and sentiment across every tracked topic, and turn weekly deltas into shipped fixes.




• Run the weekly operating rhythm: competitor intel refresh, a full sweep of AI-citation position by keyword with fixes shipped to existing pages, and an easy‑read SEO/AEO scorecard reported every Friday.




• Ship page changes directly to rho.co through the CMS and codebase: on‑page optimization, structured data, internal linking, and new pages, with protected high‑value pages routed through review.




• Own and extend the multi‑agent content pipeline (research, drafting, specialist review, compliance gate, marketing sign‑off) for new articles and product‑page refreshes.




• Maintain the claims and competitor source‑of‑truth layer every piece of content is checked against, so nothing ships with an unverified product fact or competitor claim.




• Monitor technical SEO and AEO health: crawlability and indexing, AI crawler access, site performance, and regressions, caught by alerts rather than by a drop in traffic.




• Build a measurement feed that ties search and AI visibility to signups, funded accounts, and CAC by product line.




• Lead a flood‑the‑zone push on incorporation: the clusters, pages, and comparisons that win that category.




• Leave every system with monitoring, alerting, and a runbook so it can run without you.

Requirements

• Strong generalist engineering background: comfortable owning a system from data pipeline through production changes through alerting, not just one layer of the stack.




• Deep, current knowledge of technical SEO, plus a working point of view on how AI answer engines select and cite sources.




• Hands on with the SEO toolchain (Ahrefs, Google Search Console, rank‑tracking APIs) and AI visibility platforms like Profound; you pull numbers from the scoreboards, you don't estimate them.




• Has built LLM or agentic content pipelines that ship to production with human and compliance review gates, not just a demo.




• Comfortable working inside a regulated business: exact disclosures, verified claims, and compliance review as part of the shipping process.




• Rigorous about monitoring and alerting: you'd rather find out a page slipped from a dashboard than from a quarterly review.




• Comfortable in a fast moving, ambiguous environment, and ready to take what you built here to the next growth problem after your first six months.
