Job summary

The Consulting Solutions is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to design and build secure consumer experiences. You will work closely with engineers and product managers, while also mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Ruby, with a focus on large-scale payment systems. The position allows for 50% remote work and offers various benefits including equity and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 6 years of Software Engineering experience.
• 6 years of experience building software with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Ruby.
• 4 years of experience building web or mobile applications.
• 3 years of experience with SQL databases.
• 2 years of experience writing technical design documents.
• 1 year of experience designing and implementing large-scale consumer payment experiments.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers, designers, and product managers to create scalable consumer experiences.
• Design and build APIs and services that evaluate product effectiveness.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers and assist in hiring.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Apply data analysis tools and ML to understand product behavior.

What you’ll do

• Work with engineers, designers, and product managers to design and build highly scalable and secure consumer experiences that process billions of dollars per year
• Design and build APIs, services, systems and experiments that evaluate the effectiveness of new and existing product features against critical business metrics
• Coach and mentor junior engineers, assist in hiring, and partner to develop team culture/best practices
• Participate in all parts of the software development workflow to improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
• Operate at the intersection of data science and software engineering – apply state‑of‑the‑art data analysis tools and ML to understand and improve product and user behaviors
• Build software including creation, modification, and testing of source code written in Ruby, JavaScript, TypeScript, and JVM languages

Minimum requirements

• 6 years of Software Engineering experience
• 6 years of experience building software with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Ruby
• 4 years of experience building web or mobile applications
• 3 years of experience with SQL databases
• 2 years of experience writing technical design documents
• 1 year of experience designing and implementing large‑scale consumer payment experiments

Salary

$190,400 – $285,600/yr. This range represents the base salary; any sales commissions or bonuses are additional.

40 hrs/week, 50% remote work permitted. Multiple positions available.
