Job summary

Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform, is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and manage platforms that minimize financial and regulatory risk while preserving a smooth user experience.

You will transform business challenges into scalable engineering solutions and partner with product, policy, legal, operations, and data science teams to deliver reliable systems. Strong problem solving and data-driven mindset required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related.
• 2 years of experience developing software solutions using Python, Java or Ruby.
• 2 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable systems.
• 2 years of experience translating business requirements into tangible software requirements and system designs.
• 2 years of experience identifying and resolving production issues that span multiple services and stack layers; and
• 2 years of experience performing data-driven investigations and analysis to inform decision-making using SQL and visualization software.

Who you are

Minimum requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related followed by 2 years of Software Engineering experience.

Position also requires the following:

2 years of experience developing software solutions using Python, Java or Ruby;

2 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable systems;

2 years of experience translating business requirements into tangible software requirements and system designs;

2 years of experience identifying and resolving production issues that span multiple services and stack layers; and

2 years of experience performing data-driven investigations and analysis to inform decision-making using SQL and visualization software.

Salary: $156,800 – 235,200/yr

This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.

40 hrs/week

50% telecommuting permitted.
