Job summary

Unknown Startup, a fast-growing music tech company in San Francisco, is seeking its first Growth Engineer to drive technical growth initiatives on-site at our SF office. You will own growth metrics across acquisition, activation, retention, monetization, and referrals, building a data-driven growth model and experiments.

You will lead product-led growth efforts with sharing mechanics, referrals, and in-product activation funnels, while building dashboards, running A/B tests, and optimizing

Responsibilities

• Own the growth model across acquisition, activation, retention, monetization and referrals.
• Define success metrics, prioritize engineering work by impact, report activated users and revenue.
• Build sharing, referral and UGC flows to enable product-led growth and activation.
• Design and run A/B tests, build growth dashboards, and report full funnel metrics.
• Create lifecycle emails triggered on activation, milestones, and churn signals.

We're assisting a fast growing startup in the music tech space with their search for their first growth engineer. Their product uses AI to transcribe audio into sheet music. The role will work onsite in their SF office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business impact & growth model ownership: Own the technical growth work that moves business metrics. Build and maintain a growth model across acquisition, activation, retention, monetization, and referral loops; prioritize engineering work based on expected impact; define success metrics before shipping; and report results in terms of activated users, organic signups, conversion, retention, revenue, and paid subscriber growth.
• Product-led growth: Build sharing mechanics, referral and UGC programs, in-product conversion flows, optimize product activation funnel through experimentation
• Analytics & experimentation: Build growth dashboards, design and run A/B tests; report on full funnel conversion, and retention metrics
• Lifecycle & retention: Build lifecycle email flows triggered on activation events, milestones, and churn signals Identify cohort-level drop-off and ship product-side interventions
• SEO & content infrastructure: Build and maintain technical and programmatic SEO/AEO content and infrastructure
