Job summary

Hills Bank and Trust Company is hiring a Retail Banker to provide superior service, handle transactions, and help customers with openings and lending needs. You will shadow experienced colleagues to learn the bank's processes and progress through a structured training path from Teller to Banker.

The position offers a full-time schedule, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday mornings, and a starting wage of $18.50 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in retail banking or similar customer-facing roles is advantageous.
• Ability to count money and work a cash drawer accurately.

Responsibilities

• Handle banking transactions in person, drive-up, or digitally with accuracy.
• Assist customers with account openings and basic banking needs.
• Promote products and services to meet customer financial goals.
• Develop relationships through proactive, needs-based conversations.
• Maintain compliance, documentation, and CRM records in daily work.
