Job summary

Silgan Closures in Evansville, IN is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead union‑shift operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality production of metal closures at our Evansville facility.

You will apply SOPs, SPC, lean manufacturing and CI principles, manage production flow and staffing to meet targets, and drive KPI tracking across teams. This role partners with maintenance, quality, and engineering to sustain performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or related field is a plus.
• Prior experience as a production supervisor or similar role in a union environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise union employees in a production manufacturing operation.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs, food safety regulations, and quality management standards.
• Apply SOPs, SPC, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles.
• Manage production flow, equipment performance, and staffing to meet manufacturing targets.
• Track productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, and manufacturing KPIs.
• Maintain labor agreement compliance while assigning work and managing attendance.
• Communicate effectively across shifts with maintenance, quality, engineering, and manufacturing operations teams.
