Job summary

Douglass & Runger, a Memphis-based entrepreneurial law firm, seeks a high-energy marketing leader to own the firm’s marketing function and expand its reach in the Memphis community. You will lead campaigns, events, and cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution, with opportunities to build and lead a larger marketing and business-development team.

You will work closely with an entrepreneurial CEO and COO on growth strategy, data-driven decisions, and modern marketing tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing plan and calendar across digital and traditional channels.
• Own marketing KPIs and reporting including qualified leads, campaign performance, conversion trends, ROI.
• Drive business-development activity with referral sources, professional organizations, community partners and strategic partners.
• Proactive outreach for opportunities through lunches, calls, meetings, webinars, events and other relationship-building activities.
• Plan and execute live events from preparation to attendee experience, logistics and vendors.
• Oversee PR and earned-media opportunities, press releases, local media outreach, awards and thought-leadership.
• Manage website, brand, content, email, social media, paid advertising, webinars and nurture programs, with vendors as needed.
• Oversee vendor/agency relationships, budgets, timelines and deliverables; coordinate with Intake, Sales, Operations and attorneys to avoid silos.
• Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) while driving original thinking and continuous learning.
• Protect and strengthen the Firm’s Brand Promise through client storytelling and timely execution.
