Job summary

AMJ is seeking a Managing Director to shape growth, lead innovation, and elevate the global medical publishing business from our Miami office. This hands-on leader will oversee editorial, commercial, and operations, driving revenue targets and building a strong leadership team to scale with discipline and impact.

You will be a founding member, influence the company approach while we scale, and report to the CEO.

Qualifications

Proven senior leadership experience at MD/GM level with accountability for performance.
Experience driving growth, revenue targets, and client relationships in publishing.
Track record building high-performing teams across editorial, commercial and ops.
Strong operational leadership, strategy execution, and process improvement.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influence at senior levels.

Responsibilities

Execute and own the growth plan, delivering commercial and operational targets.
Lead editorial, commercial and operational teams with clear accountability.
Strengthen delivery of revenue targets through client relationships and repeat business.
Oversee day-to-day operations, governance, and process discipline.
Maintain content quality to industry-leading editorial standards.
Drive budget delivery and net profitability through disciplined management.
Build organizational capability and align teams with operating model.
Identify future strategic opportunities with the CEO for growth.
