CFS is seeking a Controller to join our growing team in Madison, Wisconsin. The role focuses on owning financial statements, analysis, and month-end close for multiple properties within a construction-related portfolio.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 5+ years of experience, and proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and ERP implementation. This on-site position offers a competitive base salary and growth opportunities.

• 5+ years of experience
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation and analysis
• Construction Industry Experience

Responsibilities

• Financial Statements: Manage the financial statements ensuring accuracy.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis of property portfolios to support strategic decision-making.
• Month-End Close: Manage month-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage & Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities for assigned properties.
• Audit Support: Manage the preparation for audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage WIP Reports: Work with team on construction billings.
• ERP Implementation: Assist with leading the new ERP Implementation.
