Job summary

GCI Residential invites you to join its Legacy Ballantyne community as a Community Manager in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on maximizing occupancy and revenue while managing budgets and staff in a fast-paced residential setting.

You will lead leasing and maintenance teams, ensure lease signings, and maintain professional communication with residents. A strong background in real estate management and Yardi is preferred, with a valid driver's license and regular attendance expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of site/leasing management experience.
• Real estate or related management experience preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and internet research.
• Knowledge of Landlord/Tenant and Fair Housing laws.
• Ability to motivate others and lead a team.
• Yardi experience is a strong plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; regular attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve maximum occupancy and revenue growth.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and monthly/quarterly reports.
• Rent collection and eviction court participation.
• Plan and implement retention, marketing and advertising programs.
• Mentor, train and motivate staff to meet goals and policies.
• Communicate goals and provide staff support.
• Hire, evaluate, and train personnel; address issues.
• Coordinate market-ready product with leasing, maintenance and housekeeping.
• Ensure professional communication with residents; resolve issues.
• Negotiate vendor/contractor agreements as directed.
• Ensure timely suite turnover to meet property goals.
• Approve purchasing and invoice processing.
• Review rental applications and sign leases.
• Deliver property correspondence to corporate office.
• Represent GCI professionally at all times.
